From 22 September - 5 December, fishing is prohibited in: Knäsjöarna, Brynåstjärn, Ljustjärn, Fisklösen, Ingeborgtjärn, Kråkbotjärn, Lill-Blästjärn, Långtjärn (Loka), Märråtjärn, Lövtjärn, Digerbergtjärn, Lextjärn, Stortjärn (Stortjärnsåsen), Navarsjön, Rensjön, Toraldtjärn, Kårängstjärn and Abborratjärn (Tennådalsvägen). Älvdalens FVOF offers you a wide selection of fishing permits for fantastic waters. Here there is everything from stream fishing in Österdalälven, Rotälven, Vanån and Tennån to fishing in lakes, tarns and streams. The streams mainly contain trout and grayling, and the lakes usually perch and pike, but sometimes also Arctic char and trout. The area is very easily accessible and most waters can be reached adjacent to a road. But if you wish, you can travel to waters in roadless terrain and experience the proximity of wilderness and exciting fishing in forest tarns and streams. Fishing in the rivers reaches its peak during insect hatches at the end of May and during June and July, while lake and tarn fishing starts somewhat later and is good for much of the summer. Winter fishing starts as soon as the ice has formed, which normally occurs during November, and fishing then continues until the end of April. In addition to ice fishing for perch, there are also opportunities for ice fishing for Arctic char, trout and rainbow trout. Remember to behave carefully in nature and avoid disturbing animals and birdlife. As you surely know, the unique Swedish right of public access entails both rights and obligations. Welcome to exciting fishing trips in Älvdalen! Within the area there are one or more accessibility-adapted waters. For more information, see the fishing area's map, where these points are marked, or contact Älvdalens FVOF. Älvdalens fishery conservation area manages fishing within Älvdalen parish, excluding Älvdalen's firing range.
