Methods: All fishing with bait, nets and otter fishing is prohibited. All trolling fishing may be conducted with a maximum of one outrigger rod per person. Fishing with one hand gear per person. All mashing in our put and take water is prohibited. Only boats that are stationary in Lake Gryssen may be used. Think about the spread of infection.

Lake Gryssen lies on the outskirts of the village of Östbjörka, ten kilometres north of Rättvik. We have stocked rainbow trout and trout in Gryssen since 2003. In summer it is advantageous to hire a boat in order to fish the lake more easily. It is not so easy to walk around the lake and fish because of summer cottages close to the shore and forest growing down to the shore. But it is certainly possible to walk around and fish from the shore; as with everything else, use common sense. There is a bathing beach with a jetty and barbecue area that you may use provided you show consideration for those bathing there. The lake is about: 1 km long and 3-400 metres wide; the depth is between 1 m and 22 metres where the lake is deepest. The easiest directions to Östbjörka are: from Rättvik, drive towards the racecourse; after passing it, there are about 10 km remaining. Continue following the main road north; you drive through the village of Backa after about: 3 km, followed by about: 6 km through forest landscape. You can follow signs for Dalhalla and Östbjörka from the OKQ8 roundabout in the centre. Once in Östbjörka, turn right at the signs saying Boda and 301, follow that road for about: 500metres, then you are at the lake outlet. During the summer we have two boats for hire. Only when accompanied by a guardian/adult/person with a valid permit (within that person's quota). Children under 15 accompany a holder of an adult permit free of charge on that person's permit when fishing together.
