Västra Valbo FVOF NEW RULE 2025: Fishing using live transducers / real-time transducers / live technology is prohibited. Inspection fee: When checking, fishermen are required to show identification. In the event of a violation of any of our fishing rules, the on-site supervisor may charge the fisherman a check fee of 2000 SEK. Generally: - The fishing license is personal. Only one fishing license per person and occasion is valid. - Fishing is open year-round. - Youth up to 16 years of age fish for free. Methods and tools: - Hand tools, trolling - Ice fishing max 10 rods/fishing gear - Fishing using live transducers / real-time transducers / live technology is prohibited. - On the stretch from the middle dam and the upper dam upstream of the boating areas down to the outlet at Gadö, (the flowing part of the river) only fly fishing and spin fishing with barbless hooks are permitted. All other methods are prohibited. See green marking on the map. Except for the industrial dam where other methods are permitted. - Roach hut/mjärde is allowed and marked with a name - Net fishing not allowed - Russian not allowed - Crayfish fishing not allowed - Pike scissors not allowed Catch restrictions: Minimum dimensions Zander 45 cm. Maximum size of pike perch 65 cm. Maximum size Pike 75 cm. Catch quota: 2 pike perch per day and person. 2 pike per day and person. All catches of trout and grayling should be released very carefully regardless of condition. Handle all fish to be released very carefully and avoid unnecessary handling! Fishing ban: Fishing is prohibited from the dam gate behind the manor house in Mackmyra bruk down to the first hedge after the manor house's apple orchard, as well as in and adjacent to the fishway around the dam gate. See red marking on the map. Prohibition signs and posted maps also show the fishing limits on this stretch. Other rules: - Prohibited from selling catch (except roach for bait). - Parking prohibited at the loading area at Mackmyra. All vehicles must be parked in the large parking lot below at the power station. - All trash is taken home. General terms and conditions - Boat mooring Annual payment entitles you to rent a mooring during the calendar year (1 Jan - 31 Dec). - All payments/extensions of boat spaces are made here via iFiske. - Anyone who does not already have a boat space must first contact the association for allocation of a free space, see contact information. - To keep the same berth from the previous year, payment must be received by the association no later than March 31st for the upcoming season. After this date, the berth may be assigned to another berth holder. - All boat mooring holders have access to the parking area at the mooring site for winter storage, this is on a first come, first served basis as spaces are limited. - It is the mooring owner's own responsibility to take care of the place. If a place is clearly mismanaged and not used, for example by the boat never being scooped and lying sunk for a long time, we will notify the mooring owner of what needs to be done. If it is not done, we reserve the right to break the agreement so that the mooring place can be allocated to someone else. Misplaced boats and unpaid fees - If payment is not received within the prescribed time, the berth holder will be notified. If payment is still not received, the berth holder will lose the right to dispose of the berth. The berth may then be allocated to another berth holder. - It is not permitted to park boats or boat trailers in the forest or in other undesignated places in the surrounding area. Boat trailers must be taken home when not in use. - If a boat or boat trailer is placed in the wrong place, if payment is not made despite a reminder, or if the boat space is mismanaged despite a reminder, the association has the right to move the boat/boat trailer to the correct place or parking area at the owner's expense. The association is not responsible for any damage that may occur in connection with such a move. - If an unpaid or misplaced boat/boat trailer is not picked up by the owner, the association has the right to apply for special assistance from the Swedish Enforcement Authority to have the boat/boat trailer removed.
