Fine fishing and many good nature experiences are offered in a very beautiful lake. The varied nature welcomes you when you row, paddle or want to fish. The lake is a moderately nutrient-rich clear-water lake with an area of 7 km2 (approx. 700 ha). The greatest depth is 20 metres and the average depth is 6.2 metres in Stora Bellen. The lake is 205 m above sea level. The lake contains pike, perch, roach, tench, whitefish, vendace, bream, burbot, smelt, ruffe and signal crayfish. The largest documented fish are pike of over 10 kg and perch of over 1 kg. The Bellen lakes have good stocks of perch and the pike fishing can be very good. Common methods are coarse fishing, spinning and ice fishing. Laminated colour depth map, A3 format, available for purchase from fishing-permit sellers for 50 kr. In the area there are one or more waters for catch-and-release, i.e. the fish are carefully released after being caught. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15.
