Emån och Nybroholmsdammen

(Emån from Tälläng to Nybroholmsdammen). Kvillsfors fisheries conservation area begins exactly where Repperdaortens fisheries conservation area ends and makes water available in part of Emån - from the bridge at Tälläng up to and including Nybroholmsdammen. This part of Emån is easily accessible because RV 47 runs parallel to the river for most of the stretch. Emån is a real angler's delight for float fishing, with species such as chub, bream, tench and rudd. For those who have not tried chub fishing, this is something that can genuinely be recommended, as few fishing methods offer the same excitement as surface bread fishing for chub! Perch and pike fishing along the stretch is also popular among visiting tourists. Fish species: Perch, pike, roach, bream, silver bream, chub, tench, rudd, crucian carp, bleak and burbot.
