Are sjö- Feresjöns FVOF Day passes include fishing with hand gear, rod, ice stick, etc. in Aresjö. Elementary school children fish for free. Fishing with fixed gear, nets, reefs and Russians, etc., is not permitted. Fishing rights holders in Skårtaryd and Norra Åreda fish for free on the respective village's waters. Mostly forest around it and Norra Åreda By to the west. Water flows in from Feresjön and forest ditches, then flows out into Areström and onwards to Innaren. The bottom is mostly stony, with some bays containing mud and reeds. Here you mainly catch pike and perch, but roach and bream are also present. Perhaps you will find the zander that nobody has seen since it was introduced... The lake has an area of approximately 170 ha, a maximum depth of 6m, an average depth of 2.5m and visibility of approx. 2m. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 16. Primary school pupils fish free with rod and ice-fishing tackle throughout the lake. The association was formed in its current form in 1988, but has operated since the 1950s. The association manages fishing in the Are lake-Feresjön fisheries management area, Växjö municipality. The area comprises the waters from Feresjön to the outlet into Lake Innaren. The purpose is to coordinate fishing and fisheries management and to promote the common interests of fishing-right holders.
