Our beautiful water, about two Swedish miles long, can be said to be divided into three different condition areas.In the north, the water flows fast over hard and stony bottoms. Both trout and rainbow trout, as well as everyone's pike, thrive here. As this section is somewhat difficult to access, the availability of large fish is therefore high here.The water then changes into an exceptionally beautiful slow-flowing river with a somewhat softer bottom. Usual species live here in large numbers. Good availability of zander in the river's several "deep holes"; pike and perch mainly remain in the shallower parts.In the south, at "Flobodaforsen", the river now flows into Trarydsdammen. A six-kilometre-long water reservoir, formed in 1946 when the power-station dam in Traryd was completed. The reservoir offers all types of bottom conditions and depth variation, from boot depth down to almost twenty metres where the water is deepest. All species present in the water can be found here in the south. Reports of large catches are common.Welcome! Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17. There are free permits, which must be obtained, for children and young people. A free permit is required, collected at Coop in Traryd. The fisheries management area was created in 1988. Several hundred fishing-rights holders entrusted fisheries management to the new association.The board calls a public annual meeting every spring through advertisements in the local newspaper.
