Slagnäs-Bastuselse FVOF Generally: Below is some information, advice and rules that we want you to take note of before your fishing starts. The area is called the Slagnäs-Bastusel fishing conservation area / Slagnäs Fishing Water (Slagnäs Community Association) and extends from Naustajaure (about 6 km upstream Slagnäsforsen, marked "fishing limit" on map) down to the dam in Bastusel. The few remaining wild trout in the river always have their adipose fin, and we ask you sprat fishermen to release these and thereby help preserve the trout population in Slagnäs for the future. Special rules apply to the railway bridge section and approximately 600 meters downstream: Fishing is prohibited in the river section between January 1st - until the second Friday in June - and from August 16th - December 31st. Fishing is always prohibited above the railway bridge up to the power plant and 100 m upstream of the power plant.
