Ränkens fishery conservation area includes Lake Ränken and a number of smaller lakes and tarns. Ränken is a species-rich lake dominated by perch and pike; there are opportunities to catch both large pike and perch. Other species present are eel, burbot, bream, roach, bleak ... Ränkens fishery conservation area includes Lake Ränken and a number of smaller lakes and tarns. Ränken is a species-rich lake dominated by perch and pike; there are opportunities to catch both large pike and perch. Other species present are eel, burbot, bream, roach, bleak, smelt and vendace. There is also a small population of trout. Attempts have also been made to stock Arctic char. Ränken is also an excellent winter fishing water, although the lake can at times be perceived as difficult to fish. The same permit applies to fishing with handheld tackle in Ränken and in the other waters in the area, except Abborrtjärnet, where a special permit must be obtained. However, fishing is prohibited in flowing water. In Ränken, it is also possible to buy a permit for trolling fishing. In Abborrtjärn, stocking will not take place until autumn. The area contains one or more "put-and-take" waters with stocked salmonids. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Abborrtjärn applies up to and including the year in which they turn 16.
