Yngen is a deep, about 10 km long clear-water lake located in eastern Värmland, along road 63 between Filipstad and Hällefors. It is a drinking-water source for Persberg and Filipstad. There are Gullspång salmon, trout, Arctic char, perch and pike here. Also whitefish, vendace, smelt, roach and bleak. Ice-fishing record winter 2012/2013: pike 15,5 kg. A boat-launching ramp is available in Persberg. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Yngens FVOF manages fishing in Lake Yngen. The association's purpose is, among other things, to coordinate fishing and fishery management and grant fishing rights to the public, as well as promote the common interests of fishing-right holders. Within the area there is also Filipstad Municipal Fishing Permit. The municipal fishing permit is a collaboration between the fishery conservation area associations Alstern-Lungens FVOF, Grundsjöhyttans FVOF, Horssjön-Långbans FVOF, Rämens FVOF, Yngens FVOF, Aspen-Daglösens FVOF, Gåsborns FVOF, Nordmarksälvens FVOF and Skåltjärnshyttans FVOF.
