Our lakes contain good stocks of pike, perch, roach, vendace, ruffe, smelt and burbot. We have stocked larger trout in the lakes on several occasions; they are difficult to catch with rod fishing because of the abundant food provided by vendace. Our annual Gäddligan competition awards prizes for the four largest pike caught in the area. We have three tarns containing only trout; stocking is carried out regularly. The trout lake Västansjö is close to the road and accessibility-adapted. In recent years we have also stocked larger char here; there are two jetties, one accessibility-adapted, a wind shelter, outdoor toilet and 5 boats for hire. In the streams we release young-of-year trout. There are one or more accessibility-adapted waters in the area. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 11. Our fisheries conservation area was formed in 1988 through the merger of Storarmsjö and Lillarmsjö. It includes Gåsvattnet and Pålvattnet, as well as Västansjö with trout only, and the tarns Ritjärn and Lilltjärn with stocked trout, plus Mellansjöbäcken and Armsjöbäcken.
