Bure Kåtalidens FVO is located in the eastern part of Sorsele municipality. The area begins about one Swedish mile from Sorsele settlement in the direction of Arvidsjaur and extends on both the northern and southern sides of E45.The two largest lakes are Fårträsket and Buresjön. Other lakes in the area are Västra and Östra Olsträsket, Norra and Södra Stenträsket and Per-Olsträsket. A number of small tarns are scattered throughout the fisheries management area.The largest and, from a recreational fishing perspective, most interesting running water is Gargån, which winds through the area for a distance of about 25 km. Among the brooks are Storbäcken and Fårträskbäcken, which flow into Buresjön and Gargån respectively.Roads lead to most of the larger lakes, making them easily accessible. Gargån is accessible by car at a couple of places, but flows mainly through areas of unspoilt wilderness character.Most lakes have stocks of perch and pike, and Gargån also has grayling and trout. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 16. Children of permit holders who are under 16 years of age.
