Juktåns Mellersta FVO Generally: The fishing license is personal. Free fishing for youth under 16 years of age. Fishing season: In Juktån there is a trout fishing ban 15/9-14/10. Methods: Net ban in the entire Sandsjön. Juktån; upstream Forsnäset - Sikselet and a radius of 150 meters at the outlet of the canal in Siksele and up to the dam at Juktsjön and the N:e Lomfors dam to FVO border Gunnarn. In Sandsjön, it is forbidden to use pole hooks, long lines and pike shears, as well as a general seine ban. Fishing with your own boat is permitted. Mashing not allowed. Juktåns Mellersta FVO offers stream fishing for grayling and trout in the upper and lower parts of Juktån. You are also welcome to try char and trout fishing in Sandsjön. The area also offers good opportunities for perch and pike fishing in the middle part of Juktån and in the lakes. Juktåns Mellersta fisheries conservation area is located approx. 40 km south of Sorsele urban area. It comprises Juktån, Sandsjön, Saditräsk, Lomträsk and a number of tarns and brooks. The area is easily accessible and well provided with roads and paths. We have a boat with motor and boat trailer for easy transport to our prepared boat ramps within the area. The area is situated near the villages of Sandsjönäs and Lomselenäs. Take road 45 from Sorsele towards Storuman and after 35 km you reach the area. Juktån, Sandsjön, Saditräsk, Lomträsk. Other information: Accommodation is available at Sandsjögården (inn with full licence) 0761 - 03 85 75. Within the area there are one or more accessibility-adapted waters. For more information, see the fishing area’s map, where these points are marked, or contact Juktåns Mellersta FVOF. In the area there are one or more waters for catch-and-release, i.e. the fish are carefully released after being caught. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 16.
