Kvistforsens FVOF Generally: Fishing is free for children/youth up to 18 years of age. However, identification must be presented. Identification must always be brought along for presentation. NO CRAB FISHING IS ALLOWED Methods: The fishing license is valid for Ice Fishing, Casting Rod, Fly Rod, Fishing Rod. Fishing is allowed from land as well as from a boat. However, boats may not be used in planted waters. Only ONE fishing rod/person may be used at a time. For example, you are not allowed to put out three fishing rods at the same time. No fixed gear or nets are allowed. Catch restrictions: Minimum dimensions according to the County Administrative Board in Västerbotten. Grayling 35 cm Zander 40 cm NOTE! The BOAT you bring MUST be thoroughly washed and disinfected before being lowered. Contact someone from Kvistforsens FVO for approval. This is due to the risk of crayfish plague infection. Only fly fishing is allowed in the old riverbed. Caught fish MUST be released. A free boat is available to borrow for those who have purchased a fishing license. (§31 Act 1981:533) (Fishery Conservation Areas Act) These amounts have been determined by the fisheries management area's general meeting. The inspection fee is issued directly by the fisheries inspector. In the event of non-payment, the case will be sent to the bailiff for collection. The maximum amount for the inspection fee is 1/10 of the base amount, which currently means SEK 4,400. - Sale of fish from the area = 4400 SEK - Illegal fishing with mass-catching gear = 4400 SEK - Fishing obviously beyond one's own domestic needs, repeated overfishing. = 2200 SEK - Catch of protected species or fishing during a protected period = 1100 SEK - Bag limit violations = 1100 SEK - Violations of minimum/maximum dimensions = 550 SEK
