Malgomaj FVOF Please note that it is forbidden to throw cigarette butts and garbage into the lake. The fish will die if they eat it. It is also forbidden to clean fish by the lake. NOTE: Malgomaj fish farming has been affected by an IPN virus! Important to follow rules and that equipment is disinfected! Read more on Malgomaj's website. Chairman Kenneth Fjellstedt NOTE: It is important that the correct name and address are provided when purchasing a fishing license in order for the fishing license to be valid. Incorrect information means that the fishing license is invalid! If you break the rules when fishing, you will be charged a penalty fee and you will be suspended for 1 week, and if it is repeated, you will be suspended for one year. Inspection fees: 500 SEK: Too many rods/pcs. Too many fish/pcs. 1000 SEK: Fishing with unapproved baits, littering, fish cleaning, etc. 2000 SEK: Fishing in flowing water during the ban period. Fishing within the squared area on the map during the ban period. Mashing. 10 percent of PBB: Fishing for market. Prohibited times within the boxed area. From 1/5 until the day before Midsummer Eve. Reopens on Midsummer Eve. From 1/12 - until 31/1 Generally All fishing and fishing methods not permitted under the following paragraphs are prohibited. For violations of fishing rules set by the association, an inspection fee is charged in accordance with the Fisheries Conservation Areas Act. (SFS 1981:533, §§ 31 – 38) Fishing license purchasers agree that the Fishing Inspector may examine and check all fishing equipment, bags, spaces in boats, snowmobiles, vehicles, windbreaks and fishing sheets. 1. A fishing license must be purchased before fishing begins and must be carried with you when fishing. 2. The fishing license must bear the holder's name and signature in permanent writing. The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred! Accompanying youth up to and including 15 years of age fish on the card holder's fishing license. 3. For digital fishing licenses, a printout or digital form of the fishing license must be presented. 4. The fishing license must be presented to a fishing inspector together with identification upon request. 5. Fishing licenses without a name and signature are considered invalid. 6.Only one (1) fishing license per person / day 7. Fishing tents, windbreaks or fishing sheets may be used during the day but must be moved at least 200 meters when fishing day 2, etc. 8. In the event of any violation of applicable rules, the person concerned may pay a verification fee or have the matter referred to legal review. If a verification fee is issued, the buyer agrees that the verification fee will be deducted from the same account as at the time of purchase. Exempt areas for fishing 1. Malgomaj 1:8 (GHG AB). The fisheries management area only covers the waters of Malgomaj and Insjön. 2. Areas leased by Umlax AB. The water around the fish cages in the fish farm. Trolling Trolling cards are only sold at Grönlunds Fiske in Vilhelmina. There you will also find current rules and information about closed areas and suitable areas for trolling for different fish species. Fishing season Fishing ban during the period 1/5 - up to and including the day before Midsummer Eve and 1/12 - 31/1 according to the area marked in the box on the map, see/fishing map" Fishing ban in all flowing watercourses between 1/9 – 31/10. Also applies within a radius of 300 meters of all watercourses flowing into the lakes. Methods Only fishing with one (1) hand gear per person is permitted. Fishing from a boat, rowing or dragging a fishing rod is permitted. Trolling card rules in addition to rules that apply to regular card fishing 1. Fishing allowed from Midsummer Eve 2. Max 3 rods/person with one bait/rod and max 6 rods/boat. 3. Deep rigs and side screens allowed. 4. Trolling is only allowed in Lake Malgomaj from the squared area on the map east towards the Malgovik fishing limit. Catch restrictions Maximum five (5) game fish (char, trout and rainbow trout)/person/Total number of fish is 10 fish per day. Other rules All fish cleaning must be taken care of. Prohibition on the use of live or frozen bait. Does not apply to worms or maggots. Ban on all mashing using vegetarian, animal or artificial means. All fishing for sale is prohibited. Malgomaj FVOF Kontrollavgift. Malgomaj FVOF charges a control fee based on the Fisheries Conservation Areas Act (1981:533). The size of the inspection fee is regulated in the association's statutes. A control fee may not exceed 10% of a price base amount.

Malgomaj Fish Conservation Area (FVO) was formed on 23 June 2014 and is managed by the Malgomaj Fish Conservation Area Association, which represents property owners with fishing rights in Malgomajsjön.Malgomajsjön offers fishing for Arctic char, rainbow trout, trout, grayling, whitefish, burbot, pike ... The area consists of Lake Malgomaj with inflowing watercourses.The permit area extends from Lövnäs village to Malgovik.Malgomajsjön offers fishing for Arctic char, rainbow trout, trout, grayling, whitefish, burbot, pike, perch and roach. Lake trout and landlocked salmon were stocked many years ago.FishingFishing in the lake takes place both from the ice and during the ice-free season.A large number of sizeable Arctic char are caught every year in Lake Malgomaj.Fish weighing 3–4 kg are not particularly unusual, and catches of around 7- 9 kg have also been reported.Grayling is also found along certain shore sections where it can be reached with a fly.WarningBear in mind that the ice can be deceptive and that Malgomaj is a regulated lake.OtherThe permit area extends from Lövnäs village to the boundary of Malgomaj FVO.The area consists of Lake Malgomaj with inflowing watercourses.The area is easily accessible via Vildmarksvägen on the southern side and Hornsjövägen on the northern side of Malgomajsjön.A number of barbecue/rest areas have been prepared, where information and some services will also be available. Young people up to and including 15 years fish together with their guardian NOTE: Fish infected with IPN virus in Malgomaj! It is important that you follow the following rules. 1: Do not fish closer than 100 metres from any part of the fish farm. 2: Do not use fish or any part of a fish as bait. 3: Do not move any tackle that you have used in Malgomaj to any other water without first disinfecting the tackle. 4: Do not throw fish waste into the lake or into nature. 5: Respect signs and barriers. NOTE. PERMIT CHANGES FROM A DAY PERMIT TO A DAILY PERMIT FROM 1 MAY 2026
