Marslidens FVOF Generally The card applies to Västra Marssjön as well as Harrtjärnen, Ropenbäcken, Krokibäcken and all other streams that are completely protected for fishing. Methods Fishing is only allowed with a Fly-spinning rod or stick, a maximum of 3 flies per fly cast is allowed. RULES AND REGULATIONS It is every fisherman's responsibility to inform themselves about current regulations and limits. The fish disease PKD (Proliferative Nephritis) has been detected in fish caught in Lake Kultsjön. This means that the Marsliden Fisheries Conservation Area Association is issuing supplementary requirements for everyone who visits our waters. No boats/trailers outside our fishing limits may be launched into our waters without prior complete cleaning inside and out. The same applies to fishing gear etc. that has been used in other waters, they must also be cleaned well before they are allowed to be used in our waters. PKD is spread by a spore-forming organism, Tetracapsuloides bryosalmonae, and occurrences are subject to notification to the Swedish Veterinary Association. The spore-forming organism is likely to spread exclusively via infected water to new water areas through equipment that is frequently exposed to water. We can do no more than introduce these rules in the hope of continuing to keep our water free from impact. More can be read: PKD – State Veterinary Institute A clarification about Char and Trout, these are slowly regrowing after many years of waning existence. Hook lightly and release back, a reasonable catch fits in a frying pan, so with mutual purposefulness Together we provide better conditions for future experiences. Other species are not included in this. During the summer there are a few requests and prohibitions that are intended to create a calm and pleasant environment for everyone on and around the lake. With respect to our water and our common endeavor, we would like to see caution when we are on the lake. Considering how bottom sediments build up over time and the problems when they are torn up, we would like to encourage reflection. We would like to see the old, poorly functioning petrol engines replaced with electric ones, all in order to limit emissions into the water area. When it comes to play equipment in the form of jet skis and boats with powerful engines, there is a total ban throughout the entire area. The reason is that these largely tear up the deeper anaerobic bottom sediments, which are toxic and have a strong negative impact on the fish's food supply. 1. The fishing license is valid for ice sticks, casting, fly and fishing rods, trolling from a boat. and fly casting with a maximum of 3 flies. 1 gear, maximum 3 hooks, per fisherman 2. The fishing license, either digitally on the mobile phone, must be carried and presented upon request by the fishing rights owner or official. 3. This fishing license is also valid for children under 16 years of age who fish in the company of the card holder. The fishing license may not be transferred. 4. A total fishing ban applies to the entire Ropenbäcken stream, a circular area with a radius of 150 meters from its outlet, and the entire Kroki / Roarbäcken stream. This applies all year round. 5. NOTE, maximum daily quota: 5 noble fish. Other species are allowed. All worming / feeding is prohibited. Fish guts / organic remains must be buried. Can also be left as food waste at the Municipality's recycling stations. 6. Remember to inform yourself about our rules and regulations before you start fishing. 7. General fishing bans can be decided based on the natural variation in spawning times. The Fisheries Conservation Area Association's call for responsibility. There are a number of different diseases that can affect fish. It is therefore good to know the most common ones and how to deal with sick or dead fish. Symptoms of disease in fish can occur for many different reasons, for example through infection by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, or poor water conditions due to hot summers. Fish diseases are extremely rarely transmitted to humans, and in cases where they do occur, the main cause is the consumption of raw or insufficiently cooked fish that has carried infectious agents. Therefore, use common sense and pay attention to hygiene. Cleaning the fish immediately after catching is an effective way to reduce the risk of infection. Also, remember that fish is a perishable product that should be stored in the refrigerator if it is not frozen. Wounds on fish can have several different causes. Mechanical injuries are caused by predators or mishooking, for example, and are recognizable by their “torn” appearance. Mechanical injuries easily infect, which quickly changes the wound appearance and makes it easy for bacteria to gain a foothold. In a weakened state, fish can also be affected by fungus. Sea lice are parasitic crustaceans that attack fish. These parasites bite holes in the fish's skin and suck blood. The parasite's infestation causes damage to the skin and can lead to secondary infections with bacteria or fungi. The fish tapeworm has fish-eating warm-blooded animals as its main hosts, such as humans and rats, which then spread the parasite's eggs via their feces. The parasite's eggs hatch in water and develop into larvae when the parasite eggs are eaten by small crustaceans. The crustaceans are in turn eaten by various fish. These worms are sometimes also called seagull worms, as seagulls and crows easily spread these parasites over large geographical areas. What can you do? One of the most important and responsible measures you can take is to handle unwanted fish and fish waste in such a way that they cannot in any way return as food to anything in nature. Various methods such as incineration or proper burial are suitable, covered composts and packaging for municipal waste management are also fully viable. The cycle must be broken, the Fish Conservation Area Association is doing what they can and you as guests are doing what you can so together we minimize the unwelcome parasites. To remember for everyone's well-being that safety and caution apply on our waters.
