Rickleån Sport fishing (fishing with handheld gear hook and line) in Rickleån is permitted upon purchase of a fishing license. For the Rickleån, the fishing license is valid from the mouth of the Tvärån in the Rickleån above the Åselestupet to the bridge at Bruksforsen in Robertsfors. The rules in Rickleån are governed by the Swedish Board of Fisheries' regulations for fishing in freshwater areas (FIFS 2004:37). In addition, there are local additions that are decided by the annual general meeting. Fishing times* NOTE: Preliminary fishing times. Fishing times etc. may be updated. Fishing season 1/5 through 30/11. The salmon population is weak and under construction. Salmon are therefore protected throughout the year and may not be killed. Before 22/5, no trout will be killed, this is to protect overwintered trout. Grayling can be fished from 1/6 Spawning holiday 15/9 to 31/10 fishing is completely closed Trout and grayling can be fished again from 1/11 to 30/11. Hemsjön is open for fishing all year round. Minimum dimensions and quotas* Trout 50 cm (max 1 trout per day). Grayling 40 cm (max. 1 grayling per day). Pike window dimensions with a minimum of 40 cm and a maximum of 75 cm. Crayfish fishing prohibited. Fish caught during the closed season, incorrectly hooked fish or fish under the minimum size must be returned without fail. This applies even if the fish is considered damaged. Other* Salmon may not be killed. All salmon caught here must be released. This is to facilitate the re-establishment of salmon above the power plants. All fishing is prohibited 100 meters downstream and 100 meters upstream of the dam in Bruksforsen, Sågforsen and Fredriksfors. Fishing with a worm is prohibited in rapids. Only fly fishing is allowed in Isakfäbodaforsen and Tjärdalsforsen. Season tickets are valid from the date of purchase until 31/12 of the same year. Hemsjön Fishing in Hemsjön is free all year round. Permitted gear is sport fishing gear (fishing with handheld gear, hook and line). Control fee On 1 April 2011, certain provisions in the Act (1981:533) on fisheries management areas were amended. The amendment means, among other things, that the fisheries management areas now have the opportunity to issue control fees themselves for people who fish in violation of the association's regulations. Rickleåns övre FvO decided at the annual general meeting on 29 March 2017 to adopt paragraph 31 of its statutes regarding the Control fee. The meeting's decision regarding the control fee for violations of the FvO's regulations: In the event of a violation of locally decided rules, a control fee of SEK 2000 shall be charged. Young people fish for free until their 18th birthday. Free youth card MUST be registered at ifiske.se Catch reporting Catch statistics are invaluable for fisheries management work. They are of little value on the dinner table and should instead be given the chance to spawn again. Return trout over 70 cm and preferably all females. The large females are very important for reproduction. Salmon and trout from the Bothnian Bay are among the fish that should not be eaten too often according to the Swedish Food Agency. Children, young people, women who want to have children in the future, and pregnant and breastfeeding women are recommended not to eat fatty fish with high levels of dioxin and PCB more often than 2-3 times a year. Others can eat fatty fish from the Bothnian Bay once a week. *Subject to change
