Pickesjön

Pickesjön belongs to the Viskan water system and is approximately 28 ha in size. The lake is 14.4 m deep and has an average depth of 5.5 m. The lake has natural populations of perch, pike, roach and eel. There is also a small population of carp. Rainbow trout is stocked to make the lake more interesting for angling. The Pickesjö area is a small, valuable nature and recreation area close to the town centre. The great crested grebe breeds in Pickesjön and we must take care of it! Here you can go for a walk, fish, barbecue or simply enjoy nature. The area contains one or more accessibility-adapted waters. The area contains one or more catch-and-release waters, i.e. the fish are carefully released after being caught.
