From Bräkne-Hoby: Drive towards Backaryd for about 4km, turn left onto the road towards Björkeryd, drive about 3,5 km and pass the bridge over Bräkneån, follow the river map's directions. Fish species: Pike, Perch, Roach, Bream, Bleak, Tench, Crucian carp and Trout. Bräkneån offers good spin fishing for pike and good bait fishing for perch and bream. There is also trout in flowing water. Opportunities to fish from the bank are good. Suitable places for pike fishing and bait fishing are upstream of Örseryds kvarn and at Sävsjömåla, Trånhem and Röaby. There is one or more accessible waters in the area. For further information, see the fishing area's map where these points are marked or contact Bräkne-Hoby Norra FVO. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 14. The purpose of Bräkne-Hoby Norra FVO is to contribute to sustainable fishing through fisheries conservation measures.
