Fishing ban on trout in Västerdalälven and Ogströmmen 15/9-1/11. Fishing ban on grayling 1/4-15/5. Malungs fvof, Äppelbo fvof and Rämens fvof all have the right to fish in Milsjön, Milsjökalven and Fjällrämen. Fishing is allowed in all 3 of these, without any limits, however, a valid fishing license for your own area must be present, this applies to all fishing. Otherwise, all crayfish fishing is prohibited within Malung's fishing area. Crayfish fishing is allowed from 7/8 at 5:00 PM to 9/8 at 12:00 PM and 14/8 at 5:00 PM to 16/8 at 12:00 PM. Max 8 cages per fishing license. Crayfish fishing in Bredsjön can only be conducted by Malung residents/fishing right holders and cottage owners at a cost of 150 SEK for 2 weekends. Fishing is permitted for pike fishing in the Västerdalälven headwaters. No netting below the rapids in Malungsfors according to signage. Upprämen: char ban between 1/9---1/12 on Upprämen to protect the spawn. 2-year trout ban in Sälbergsår and Blästån. Angling for pike is allowed in Losktjärn. For other fishing, the respective card prices shall apply, but in all mentioned waters.
