Sveaskog Familjesjöar Malingsbo

Welcome to Sveaskog's Family Lakes in Malingsbo. Malingsbo-Kloten is a large scenic coniferous forest area in highland and hilly terrain, with interspersed mire areas, lakes and watercourses offering good opportunities for fishing and outdoor life. The area is divided by three counties; Dalarna, Västmanland and Örebro. The easiest way to get here is via road 233 between Skinnskatteberg and Kopparberg. Our family lakes are Långtjärnarna (Nedre and Mellersta Långtjärn) (which previously formed part of Game Fishing Malingsbo – Kloten) in the northern part of our area, just south of Björsjö. Ljustjärn is at the southern end of Malingsbosjön, in the “Malingsbo” eco-park. Our family lakes are included in the Orange waters. Our waters are divided according to fishing method - fly fishing, spinning and bait fishing. The different colour markings on the map show our waters and where you may fish and which type of permit is required. Orange waters In our Family Lakes, we prioritise balanced fishing in beautiful surroundings over the number of kg fish. In addition to pike and perch occurring naturally in our Family Lakes, the lakes are supplemented with stockings of salmonid fish up to four times per year. In orange waters, put-and-take fishing for stocked rainbow trout is carried out. In all orange waters you may choose between fly fishing, spinning or bait fishing. (Bait fishing with traditional silicone- or PVC-based PowerBait, such as balls, tails, spheres or larvae, is strictly prohibited in our waters.) When float-tube fishing in Ljustjärn, only traditional fly fishing from a float tube is permitted. Traditional fly fishing means. (Fly rod, fly line and feather-dressed hook). Our definition of a float tube is that it must be designed as a "traditional" float tube and propelled by paddling with your feet. If the float tube is propelled with oars, it is regarded as a boat and is not permitted. Own boats, canoes or SUP boards are not permitted in our game-fish lakes. Information on how you experience the fishing and on fish that are released, especially in Hedströmmen but also from our other waters, gives us a picture of what the fish population looks like and enables us to adapt fishery management measures and catch take to this. Our ambition and hope is that you as a guest will continue to enjoy your fishing in our waters and return. For other species (Put and take), reporting is desirable, but not obligatory. Please upload pictures from your fishing adventures when reporting your catches on iFiske's catch-reporting page. They do not have to be of record fish, but of your experiences and fine nature photographs from our waters. We always name the photographer. We reserve the right to publish submitted photographs in iFiske's rotating photo collage. NOTE! Everyone who reports their fish is included in the draw for daily permits for our game-fishing waters in Malingsbo-Kloten and Krampen! Please write which waters you caught your fish in. Other information At Sveaskog's game-fish lakes, we actively work to provide a good fishing experience for those who choose to visit us and fish! It is easy to walk around our ponds as there are boardwalks in sections. Barbecue places, jetties and shelters are available at the ponds; some are also adapted for people with reduced mobility. For this fishing, Sveaskog has prepared several parking pitches for motorhomes/caravans adjacent to our family lakes. As landowner, we charge a fee for this in the form of a permit. Money from permit sales goes back into the operation through fish stocking, rubbish collection, cleaning and emptying toilets in the area. Rubbish bins and latrines may only be used by those holding a valid permit for the relevant game-fish lake. Please note that the right of public access does not apply to fishing and that you as a visitor must therefore purchase a valid permit when parking a caravan or motorhome at Sveaskog's game-fish lakes! If you only want to camp, many prepared rest areas are available in the Malingsbo-Kloten area where it is possible to stay one night free of charge under the right of public access. At these places you take care of rubbish and latrine yourself. Lighting fires/barbecuing is only permitted at designated fire sites. When a fire ban is in force, all lighting of fires/barbecuing is prohibited. Within the area there is one or more accessibility-adapted fishing waters. For more information, see the fishing area's map where these points are marked or contact Sveaskog Familjesjöar. In the area there is one or more "put-and-take" fishing waters with stocked game fish. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Only in the company of a guardian/adult/person who has a valid permit (on that person's quota) Sveaskog's waters in Malingsbo-Kloten and Krampen outdoor area are managed by Sveaskog AB. Sveaskog operates fishing activities with different permits in this area, both in natural waters and in lakes with stocked fish for put & take (game fishing).
