Around Midsummer, when the large sandfly swarms, the char takes dry flies actively.Paljakkaröding, which we have stocked for several years from Finnmarken, still reproduces in Iguln, Svartsjön and Tällåstjärn. It is a fairly genetically unaffected Arctic char that differs greatly from other char stocks through its strong colour pattern. The pelvic fins are broad with a strong white edge marking. The belly is fiery red or orange and the spotted colour pattern on the sides is strongly marked, something intensified in sexually mature game fish.
