Åkersjöns FVOF NOTE: Read the entire rules section! Waters available for sport fishing within Åfvo are Lake Åkersjön and the River Åkerån. Children/youth up to 18 years of age fish for free. The fishing license entitles you to fish with a hand tool, maximum 3 hooks, in Åkersjön and Åkerån, with the following exceptions: From 1/9 to 31/10, all fishing is prohibited in Åkerån, as well as within a distance of 200 m from the inlet and outlet of Storån, Lillån, Bölesbäcken and Åkerån from the lake. Around the mouths of the Storån, Lillån and Åkerån rivers, the 200-m distance is marked with white posts on the beach. A total fishing ban applies all year round in Storån, Lillån, Bölesbäcken, Bergesbodsbäcken, Storbäcken and Kvarnbäcken. Otter fishing is permitted for fishing rights holders and "otter card buyers" from 20/6 to 15/8. Trout with a total length of less than 35 cm may not be caught. Trout that does not meet the standard must be released regardless of condition. All forms of fishing are prohibited. Trolling is prohibited. Jet skis of all sizes are prohibited. Snowmobiles on open water are prohibited. General provisions NOTE: Only partners living together (registered at the same address) may purchase a fishing license as a family member. Before fishing begins, the cardholder must have read these regulations by signing their fishing license. Fishing is only permitted with sport fishing gear, a maximum of one rod carried by hand per cardholder, i.e. not with long lines, pole hooks or net gear. Trolling fishing is prohibited. The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred. Fishing licenses must be carried when fishing and must be shown to fishing guards upon request. Fishermen must be aware of applicable laws and regulations as well as rules specially designed by the FVO. Violation of the provisions stated will result in forfeiture of fishing rights and may lead to a requirement for an inspection fee or prosecution. NOTE! When purchasing a fishing license, do not forget to state the name of who the specific fishing license is for!
