Börtnans FVOF Generally: Fishing may only be practiced for personal needs and with sport fishing equipment (rod brought from land and by hand, ice in winter. Applies to streams and ponds. Holders of fishing licenses are obliged to bring the license with them when fishing and show it to fvo guards on request. The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred. Other rules: Net fishing is permitted with a maximum of 5 nets for sports cabin owners within Börtnans fvo who have a sport fishing license. The fishing stretch between Stora- and Lilla Börtnen (the flowing part) is only permitted for fly fishing. At the tunnel outlet, fishing is prohibited in the canal up to the old Ljungan river channel. Fishermen who rent a cabin in Börtnan and buy a weekly pass may use downhooks for fishing in Stora and Lilla Börtnen. Fishing from a boat only in Stora- and Lilla Börtnen. Fishing right owners redeem sports fishing licenses for fishing in the waters in which fish have been planted.
