Svartån FVO (Tranås) Total ban on catching trout until further notice. Active work is underway to further improve growth opportunities for Trout and Pikeperch. Total fishing ban from Tranås Energi / Elverksdammen all the way out to Lake Sommen according to markings and map. The ban is in effect year-round until further notice. The area is an important spawning and breeding ground for both trout and pike-perch. Total fishing ban this year in the area downstream of Åsvalehultsdammen and upstream of "kråset", see map. Fishing permits are personal and valid for the entire calendar year from 1/1 to 31/12, with the exception of day permits. General rules Release obligation; fish of a certain species that are caught during a time when a ban applies, or do not meet the prescribed minimum size, must be immediately released into the water regardless of their condition. The above general rules do not apply to various types of test fish approved by the Fisheries Conservation Association or the County Administrative Board. When fishing, a maximum of 1 eel per person may be caught and kept each day. Fishing with a roach trap requires written permission from the landowner. When fishing with hand gear without a valid sport fishing license or in violation of the above rules, a control fee of SEK 1,500 may be charged, or a report will be made to the police in accordance with the Fishing Act. Fishing inspectors regularly check that rules are followed and that the prohibited areas are respected. There are free fishing licenses available for children and young people that offer free fishing for children and young people up to and including 15 years of age. The FVO reserves the right to adjust closure times, minimum lengths and fishing rules during the current calendar year if deemed necessary.
