The nutrient-rich lakes in Vrigstadortens fisheries management area are linked together by the main channel of Vrigstadån. By boat you can easily get from lake to lake. Perfect for a full-day excursion, or why not paddle through the lake system? The relatively small lakes hold large pike and zander and are therefore a good choice if you want to tackle these freshwater predators. Vrigstadortens FVO offers a total of 380 hectares of fishing in lakes and streams. In the main channel of Vrigstadsån, in downstream order, Lundholmssjön, Pelikroken, Högebrosjön, Franssjön, Sunnerbysjön, Storsjön, Lillesjön and Långö-Klinthultsdammen lie in a row. Slättsjön, Ladsjön and Kyrkarpssjön are also connected to the main channel by inflowing watercourses. These lakes, together with parts of the main channel of Vrigstadsån, are included in the permit.In Lundholmssjön, zander over eight kilos have been caught - a sign of the area's potential for fishing for large zander. The lakes are nutrient-rich and hold plenty of white fish, which means that pike, zander and perch hardly suffer from a lack of food. The area is also worth a visit for the coarse angler, as the lakes contain everything from bream, rudd and tench to crucian carp and burbot.In Pellikroken there is a boat ramp that is free to use and 1 boat to hire from Circle K in Vrigstad (see above). The lake is shallow, with an average depth of only 2 metres, but holds a lot of fish. The time between bites is short, but catching the larger fish requires good timing.In Lundholmssjön there are 2 boats to hire and a boat ramp on the island. The lake is known for its large pike and zander, which are easiest to encounter through trolling. In the lake, which is only 47 hectares in size, zander weighing as much as 8,6 kilos have been caught! There is a deep hole in the lake where many large pike and zander have been caught.Slättsjön is also warmly recommended, mainly thanks to its fine perch fishing. There is also a ramp and 2 boats to hire here. Kyrkarpssjön is another lake with good perch fishing, but there is no boat ramp here, though 1 boat can be hired at Circle K.At the bottom of the system, before Vrigstadån flows into Rusken, lies Långö-Klinthultsdammen - a somewhat larger lake (150 ha) with occasionally rewarding spinning fishing. In Storsjön and Lillesjön, just upstream of Långö-Klinthultsdammen, there is an opportunity to experience enjoyable jig fishing for perch, zander and pike Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15 years.
