Open source dataWelcome to Emån Fiskevårdsområde between Klövdala and Ryningen. The entire stretch is highly varied. Larger tributaries flowing into the stretch are Silverån and Gårdvedaån. The stretch is dominated by slow-flowing sections. At Årena, Målilla by, Ämmenäs, Torp and Ryningsnäs there are shorter or longer stretches of running water. The river's width varies between 5 and 30m, and its depth varies from the shallowest rapids, where the depth is 0-0.5m, to deep bends that may be 5-10m deep. On the stretch within Hultsfred Municipality there are around 20 fish species. The most common are perch, bream, roach, burbot, pike, chub, tench, trout, eel and wels catfish. NOTE! Eel and wels catfish are protected!!! Emån FVO was founded in 1992. We in the association want to advance the development of fishing on our stretch of Emån, between Klövdala in the north and Ryningsnäs in the south.
