Sinnernsjöarna are typical wilderness lakes with very good water quality. Stora Sinnern has an area of 230 ha and a maximum depth of 25 metres; Lilla Sinnern has an area of 114 ha and a depth of 5 metres. The lakes are connected by a narrow but navigable sound. The lakes have rich animal and plant life. Both lakes contain as many as 13 fish species, including zander, pike, perch, roach, bream, silver bream, rudd, bleak, tench, ruffe, vendace, burbot and eel. Zander has been introduced on several occasions with good results. Catches of really large zander have been reported. A boat is available for hire through Sandholms Färghandel, Högsby. Tel: 0491 20862. A ramp is available for launching a small boat. See map! Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 18. Only in the company of a parent/guardian/adult/person who has a valid fishing permit (on that person's quota) Fishing permits and boat hire Stora and Lilla Sinnerns FVO manages fishing in the lakes Stora and Lilla Sinnern, centrally situated in Högsby Municipality.
