Uvasjön

Fishing water in a scenic area with good supplies of pike, zander and perch. A newly constructed boat launch is available; see the website, uvasjonsfvof.se. Uvasjön is a beautiful 150 ha forest lake located by Fröseke in Uppvidinge municipality, on the border between Kronoberg and Kalmar counties. The distance to Nybro is 30 km, to Växjö 80 km, to Oskarshamn 75 km and to Kalmar 55 km. Alsterån flows through the lake, contributing to the lake’s good fishing. Alsterån is included in the area for a stretch of approximately 7 km upstream of the lake. In the lake and river you can fish for perch, pike and zander. Uvasjöns FVOF, which manages the area and sells permits, has stocked zander on several occasions; this is a fishery that has not yet been explored. Large fish of several species are present; among other things, pike weighing 12 kg have been caught. Welcome to fish in Uvasjöns FVOF, where excitement, nature experiences and relaxation are offered. The fishing suits all categories. FISHING WATERS and FISH SPECIES Uvasjön is an easily accessible fishing lake. In Alsterån upstream of the lake, fishing of varying accessibility is offered. The number of fish species in the lake is 11: perch, pike, zander, bream, tench, roach, ruffe, minnow, vendace, burbot and eel. This makes Uvasjön a species-rich and varied fishing lake. As the lake contains different fish species of varying sizes, the water suits many different anglers. Tourists, beginners, families and specialists can all find rewarding fishing. OTHER INFORMATION Cabins for families are available for hire by the lake through Magnus Gustafsson (chairman). Fröseke has a fine bathing place. The Kingdom of Crystal offers many activities and attractions, including hiking trails, nature and glassworks. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 16.
