Harrträsk, Vassaraälven, Sikträsk m fl vatten

The following waters are available within the area: Harrträsk, Vassaraträsk, Vassaraälven, Sikträsk, Sikträskbäcken, Linaälven, Vuoskajärvi, Kakkurijärvi, Romsijärvi, Nuonisjärvi and Lietikkajärvi. The fish conservation area also includes Nuolajärvi, which has its own fishing permit. Sikträsk, Sikträskbäcken, Vassaraträsk & Vassaraälven The water system has a natural stock of whitefish, pike, perch, grayling and trout. Sikträsk is the fish conservation area's largest lake, where some supportive trout stocking takes place every autumn. Note that the fish conservation area's fishing permit does not cover fishing in Ammasbäcken, which flows down into Sikträsk, or Torrisbäcken, which flows down into Vassaraträsket. Harrträsk Harrträsk is a lake at the foot of Dundret and, after many years of continuous stocking, the lake now has a really fine stock of trout. There is also plenty of whitefish, and some trout have grown large and large specimens have been caught in the lake. In recent years char has also been stocked in larger quantities; catching char weighing between 1-2 kilos is not unusual. There is also a smaller stock of grayling in the lake. At the boathouses at the western end of the lake there is an opportunity to launch a boat. Note that fishing with one rod per person applies. Suolasjöarna Suolasjöarna are two small cold-spring lakes above Sikträsk containing trout, grayling, whitefish and char. In the first lake (the upper lake), trout and char are stocked. In the northern lake (the lower one), there is mainly whitefish. A small forest road leads from Sikträskvägen; it is in poor condition, and from the turning area it is approximately a one-kilometre walk to the first lake. Linaälven Gällivare FVO also includes fishing in Linaälven from the bridge at Sarkasvaara down to the confluence with Vassaraälven below Stenbron. The river contains grayling, trout, perch, whitefish and pike. There is also salmon in Linaälven, but most salmon do not migrate this far up the river. Vuoskajärvi A marsh lake holding a natural stock of perch and pike. Kakkurijärvi, Romsijärvi, Nuonisjärvi, Lietikkajärvi At Littikhed between the E10 and the airfields there are some small tarns containing perch and pike. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 10. Gällivare fish conservation area is an association consisting of landowners in Gällivare municipality who have joined together to enable the public to fish in the landowners' lakes and watercourses. Gällivare fish conservation area's fishing permit covers sport fishing in many of the watercourses located near Gällivare urban area.
