The association was formed through a merger of the Malmberget and Koskullskulle hunting and fishery conservation associations. The association was founded in 1935.The association’s task is to organise people with an interest in hunting and fishing, and in wildlife, nature and environmental conservation. The association is politically neutral. It must work to ensure that suitable land and water areas are available to members.MKJF’s activities today are a mixture of old and new: a balancing act between gradually introducing ecologically based use of some of our leased waters, while fishing itself is maintained in other waters to give scope to fishing interests and relieve pressure on natural waters.
