An area of 2200 hectares in the western part of Uddjaur, 15 km south of the town of Arjeplog. There are above all large pike and fine perch here, but also trout. Grayling are found mainly in Uljajaure and below its outlet into Uddjaur. The permit applies to the eastern half of Uljajaure. There are fine sandy beaches here for swimming and play. Boat ramps are available both at the end of the road in Uddjaur and at the northern part of Uljajaure; see the map for further information. Uddjaur is a large lake with many headlands (hence the name), bays and islets, and offers opportunities for varied fishing and fine nature experiences. When the wind picks up, there is therefore an opportunity for shelter. The lake is shallow, and a nautical chart, digital or on paper, may be useful. Walking a recently restored cultural trail from Knäusviken westwards 6,5 km to Lake Maskaure can be a pleasant break from fishing. The trail passes through the Skarjak nature reserve, with its special nature. The trail was used before roads were built to reach Uddjaur, where people had a boat and then rowed towards Arjeplog. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17 years. Nurrholms FVO, formed in 1991, offers access to rich outdoor recreation through varied fishing and nature and cultural experiences in the lakes Uddjaur and Uljajaure.
