Laxtjärn is a cosy little tarn situated between Åträsk and Brattknabben, approximately 10km from Lillpite. Game fish are stocked in Laxtjärn twice a year in connection with fishing openings. Fishing is permitted in summer and winter, except when a fishing ban applies, which is between stocking and the fishing opening. In connection with fishing openings, the lake is closed 1-2 weeks beforehand; for more information, see the website. Around Laxtjärn there are several barbecue areas. Immediately beside the tarn there are also opportunities for wilderness camping with a caravan or tent. Camping is subject to the rules of Allemansrätten. There are one or more put-and-take waters with stocked game fish in the area. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 11. Only accompanied by a guardian/adult/person holding a valid fishing permit (on that person's quota) Roknäs Fiskevårdsförening shall work to ensure that the general public can fish in a stocked lake at a reasonable cost. Roknäs Fiskevårdsförening is a small non-profit association that leases a tarn where wilderness camping is also permitted.
