Soutujärvi FVOF Fishing rules: Annual passes are not valid in implanted waters. Max 3 fish/day with minimum length 35cm applies to grayling, trout and char. When fishing, 1 fishing rod/person applies. To protect grayling during spawning, fishing for grayling is prohibited between April 15 and June 10. Planted waters are closed to fishing between 1 Sep-31 Dec. Fishing from floating materials prohibited in implanted waters. Fishing from float rings is permitted in Puoltikasjärvi and Marsijärvi with a special float ring permit. Young people under 18 fish for free. Soutujärvi FVOF Fiskekort 2 • The fishing license entitles you to fish with a fishing rod (equipped with one line and a maximum of three hooks) per person in open waters. • It is permitted to take up and retain a maximum of 3 in total trout and grayling per fisherman per day (example: either 3 grayling or 2 grayling and 1 trout). • The minimum length allowed for killing and keeping fish is: 35 cm for grayling; 35 cm for trout; 50 cm for salmon. The length is measured from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail fin. • In the Kalix River it is permitted to keep maximum one trout per fisherman per day in the size 35-45 cm according to the regulations of the Swedish Fisheries Board (FIFS 2004:37). All trout which is larger or smaller than this measurement shall unconditionally Grayling fishing is prohibited in these watercourses. during the period 15 April to 10 June (FIFS 2004:37). • With the aim of protecting the juveniles of salmonid fish, fishing with natural baits (worm, maggot, shrimp, bait fish and similar) is prohibited in flowing water. MarsijärviLies 5 km from road E10 along the road towards Nilivaara; the road goes all the way to the lake. Marsijärvi has a rest cabin, wind shelter, fishing jetties and an accessible jetty. The lake contains large trout and Arctic char.PuoltikasjärviLies a couple of hundred metres from road E10, and the road goes all the way to the lake. Puoltikasjärvi has a rest cabin and an accessible jetty. Large Arctic char and grayling. Grayling over 2 kg have been caught there. The lake also contains perch and pike.SilkijärviLies a stone’s throw from road E10. Silkijärvi has fire places. The lake contains trout and perch.VarkanjärviLies approx. 8 km from road E10. There is a road almost all the way to the lake. Varkanjärvi has fire places. The lake contains trout and whitefish.Kirkasvesijärvi, Rengasjärvi and RajajärviLie along Vaikojärvivägen. The lakes contain, among other species, Arctic char, grayling, pike and perch. Within the area there is one or more accessibility-adapted water. For more information, see the fishing area’s map, where these points are marked, or contact Soutujärvi FVOF. Within the area there is one or more “put-and-take” water with stocked game fish. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17. Soutujärvi lies approx. 5 Swedish miles north of Gällivare along road E10. The association manages an area with very interesting waters containing Arctic char, trout and grayling. If you want to spend some time in the area, various forms of accommodation are available, float tubes can be hired and provisions purchased. There are also opportunities to fish in Kalix älv because we lease a stretch of it. The waters are excellent for fly and spinning fishing and various forms of winter fishing. Several lakes are easily accessible by car and some are accessible. The purpose of the association is to coordinate fishing activities and fishery conservation, promote the common interests of fishing-rights holders while observing the regulations applying to fishing, and make fishing rights available to the public.
