When purchasing permits for both coarse fishing and salmon waters, the Fishery Conservation Association's rules apply and are available on the website. In addition to all our coarse-fishing waters with pike, perch, zander, burbot etc., we manage 10 game-fish lakes, two of which are hire lakes. For our 8 game-fish lakes, daily permits are obtained locally from our retailers, or via a machine, but also online. The price applies to all 8 lakes, but the lakes have different provisions regarding tackle. Boats are prohibited in all PT waters except Yxtjärn, where boats can be hired at OKQ8 in Hällefors. Check this before you start fishing. Bergtjärn: Bergtjärn is a hire pond with rainbow trout, located in the Sävsjön area. It is approximately 2 Swedish miles from Hällefors. Hire it alone or as a group and fish with fly, spinning or bait fishing. There is a wheelchair-adapted jetty, shelter, fire-hut where you can stay overnight, and dry toilet. Fishing is from the bank. Enquiries and bookings are only made via the association's telephone 0705 - 41 09 80 (answering machine). The booking applies for one weekend, 48 hours. The price is 6000 kr including 25 kg stocked fish. You can choose to have extra fish stocked. This costs 500 kr per 3 kg fish. Högborntjärn: Högborntjärn is located just south of Grythyttan, about 1,5 Swedish miles from Hällefors. It lies just a few hundred metres south of Notbindartjärn, which is also a game-fish lake. It is a small pond of 2,8 ha, but it is quite deep. There are trout, rainbow trout, smelt and tench in the lake. Fishing is from the bank. Both spinning, bait fishing and fly fishing are permitted. There are not many places where you can get out with a fly rod. There is a shelter, dry toilet and jetties. Kotjärn: Kotjärn is a small hire lake with rainbow trout located in the Sävsjön area. It is approximately 1,8 Swedish miles from Hällefors to Sävsjön. The lake is just under 2 ha. There are two shelters, a jetty and two dry toilets. There are sections of boardwalk around the whole lake. Fishing is from the bank. Enquiries and bookings are only made via the association's telephone 070–541 09 80 (answering machine). The booking applies for one weekend, 48 hours. The price is 6000 kr including 25 kg stocked fish. You can choose to have extra fish stocked. This costs 500 kr per 3 kg fish. Kviddtjärnarna: Kviddtjärnarna are two small waters in the Sävsjön area. Only fly fishing is permitted. Not permitted to ice fish on winter ice. The total area is 1,3 ha. Shelter and dry toilet are available. Boardwalk around the whole of Lilla and parts of Stora Kviddtjärn. Exciting fishing for rainbow trout is offered here. If you want a little variety, Lilla Sandsjön is not far from here. Lilla Sandsjön: Lilla Sandsjön is not as small as it sounds. It has an area of 11 ha. The fish is rainbow trout, but there are also roach, perch and the occasional lost pike. Spinning or fly fishing from the bank applies. Lilla Sandsjön is located in the Sävsjön area, about 18 km north of Hällefors. The lake has a wheelchair-adapted jetty, several shelters, jetties and a dry toilet. There is also a fire-hut where you can stay overnight and a hand pump for drinking water. A large parking area for caravan/car is adjacent to the lake. A few hundred metres north are Kviddtjärnarna. Mettjärn: Mettjärn is located in the Sävsjön area, about.18 km north of Hällefors. The lake has an area of 13 ha. There are rainbow trout and trout in the lake. Fishing is from the bank with spinning, fly or bait fishing. The lake has two shelters, several jetties and a dry toilet. There is a large parking area at this lake if you want to bring a caravan/car. Notbindartjärn: Notbindartjärn is located just south of Grythyttan, about 15 km south of Hällefors. There are rainbow trout and tench in the lake, which has an area of 3 ha. Fishing is from the bank with spinning, fly or bait fishing. There are shelters, dry toilets and jetties. A few hundred metres south along the same road is Högborntjärn. Yxtjärn: Yxtjärn, located up by Älvsjöhyttan about 3,5 Swedish miles north of Hällefors, is the largest game-fish lake we have. It has an area of 20 ha. Hire boats are available here. Boat permits are sold by OK/Q8 Hällefors tel. 0591-121 10. 100 kr/day. The fish are rainbow trout, trout and whitefish. There are also perch, roach and pike. Permitted to use a float tube in the lake. There are shelters and dry toilets. You may spin fish, fly fish, bait fish and tow lures. In winter, ice fishing applies. If you are unsure where you may fish with the Coarse Fishing Permit, contact the association. In the area there is one or more "put-and-take" fishing waters with stocked game fish. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 18. • Free fishing for children and young people in our coarse-fishing waters up to the age of 18. • Family permit applies to husband/wife/cohabiting partner and children up to 18 years of age.
