Svalsjön, Ören, Halvsjön samt del av Örlången

Svalsjö FVOF includes the lakes Ören, Svalsjön, Halvsjön and part of Örlången. The lakes have very good supplies of perch and pike. Roach, bream, rudd, tench, burbot, vendace and smelt also occur. The lakes also contain a small population of local trout. Recreational fishing is granted through the sale of permits, with only handheld tackle permitted. The lakes are accessible from public roads. Please respect shoreline properties, private jetties and the mobile tackle of fishing-water owners in the form of nets and other catching tackle. In the north-eastern part of Lake Ören there is an opportunity to launch a brought boat next to the bathing place. Respect bathing guests. You are also welcome to visit Affären in Svalsjö, an old village shop from 1895 between Kisa and Malexander. Here Anna and Per Helldorff display interesting wooden items, drawings, watercolours and art cards. There is also a selection of local and regional handicraft products, as well as a historical section. Simple summer café. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Must carry valid identification. May fish on another person’s permit (but that person does not need to be present) Svalsjö fisheries management area association can offer fishing with handheld tackle in the western part of Kinda municipality, in lakes surrounded by large forest areas in peaceful countryside. The lakes are part of a sub-catchment of Motala ström and lie approximately 121 m above sea level. The fisheries management area includes 4 lakes covering a total of 551 ha of water. The water in the lakes has high ecological and chemical status. The fisheries management area association was founded in 1975 and the board is represented by local fishing-water owners. The purpose of the association is to promote fisheries management and organise fishing in the stated waters, and to grant fishing (with the exception of crayfish fishing) to the public through the sale of permits. Part of the annual net return therefore goes entirely towards promoting fisheries management and comparable measures. Among other things, the association carries out continuous stockings of trout, both as fry in connecting streams and as larger breeding fish.
