Högestad & Christinehof Förvaltnings AB A valid fishing license is required for fishing. The fishing license is only valid in Lake Verka. Children/youth up to 12 years old fish for free. Only angling, spinning and fly fishing are permitted. Net fishing and crayfish fishing are prohibited. Boats are NOT allowed. In order for fishing to be sustainable, we wish that pike larger than 75cm and perch larger than 35cm are released. Eels should always be released. Fishing in the northern part of the lake is prohibited.

Welcome to Verkasjön, which is part of Verkeån Nature Reserve. It is one of Österlen's few lakes, at about 8 ha. The lake contains species such as pike, perch, roach, bream and tench. The lake is surrounded by forest and grazing land. There are many walking trails here leading, among other places, to the waterfall at Hallamölla and Christinehof Castle. Please note that the lake is in a nature reserve and special rules apply. An information sign is located by the car park. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 12. With 13 000 hectares of land, Högestad & Christinehof is Skåne's largest individual forestry and agricultural operation. We manage and develop the work that Christina Piper began in 1747 and to which generations of employees have continued to contribute for over 270 years. By striving for biodiversity, living cultural environments and a good working environment, we achieve a return that is economically, ecologically and socially sustainable.
