Welcome to fish in the beautiful, pleasant Vesljungasjön, located midway between Osby and Markaryd in a very beautiful setting. The lake is relatively shallow, with a maximum depth of 2.6 metres. Here you can fish for the most common traditional Swedish fish, the most common being pike, perch and roach. There are also tench, ruffe, carp, signal crayfish and eel. When purchasing a permit, you may also borrow a plastic rowing boat from the fisheries management association for a maximum of three hours. These boats are located by the School Park jetty. After your fishing trip, you can take a dip at our beautiful, child-friendly gently sloping bathing area, which offers a 150 metre sandy beach and a fine bathing jetty. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 12. We were formed in 1990 and have monitored water quality and fish stocks throughout the years. Many years ago, water quality was poor and fish life was not very good, but a lime doser was then permanently installed at the inlet and the water has gradually improved year by year; it now has a good pH value and otherwise good water quality. The lake is very popular with the public for fishing, as it is a small pleasant lake with beautiful surroundings. We are a small association whose main purpose is to carry out sound fisheries management. The board consists of people who live in the area or have connections to it.
