In Nordmarksälvens fishery conservation area, good fishing is offered in the eastern part of Värmland, from Sundsjön in the north to Filipstad in the south through Nordmarksälven - a varied lake system and Tabergs canal. The fishery conservation area extends through both pure wilderness and road-near, easily accessible water. A relatively newly created nature conservation area around Nordmarksmossarna adds another dimension to the experience. The area has two types of permits, one for Nordmarksälven and one for the lake system with ponds, lakes and Tabergs canal. There are plenty of fish and several places are easily accessible, with a number of shelters and barbecue places. There are also bathing places and a cycle trail along virtually the entire river stretch on the old NKLJ railway line. Nordmarksälven 26 km of flowing water. The river has a very varied character with rapids and calmer waters. The northern part is pure wilderness. There are several stretches well suited to fly fishing. From national road 246, many roads lead by car to the river. The lake system and Tabergs canal: Sandsjön, Stora Häståstjärnen, Sången, Gäddtjärn, Finnshyttjärn, Motjärnarna, Svarttjärnen, Agen, Lersjön and part of Mellansjön. NOTE! Only part of Sandsjön and Mellansjön is included in the permit; see map! Lersjön: Lersjön is suitable for trolling and also has a boat ramp. Nordmarksälvens Fishery Conservation Area Association sells permits for a large number of waters, but also carries out extensive fishery management. Nordmarksälvens fishery conservation area extends from Sundsjön in the north to Filipstad in the south. Trout were previously stocked for many decades. No more trout have been stocked for some years, but we are now fighting for this and also hoping for Gullspång trout. There are perch, roach, pike, eel, trout, burbot, bream and signal crayfish in the system. Within the area there is also Filipstad Municipal Fishing Permit. The municipal fishing permit is a collaboration between the fishery conservation area associations Alstern-Lungens FVOF, Grundsjöhyttans FVOF, Horssjön-Långbans FVOF, Rämens FVOF, Yngens FVOF, Aspen-Daglösens FVOF, Gåsborns FVOF, Nordmarksälvens FVOF and Skåltjärnshyttans FVOF.
