The five largest lakes are Gärdsmarksträsket, Gummarksträsket, Hemvattnet, Västträsket and Ragvaldsträsket. The lakes have good PH values, are relatively nutrient-rich and therefore have high fish production. The fish species are common to the area: pike, perch, roach, bream and burbot. All the lakes offer good perch and pike fishing; Ragvaldsträsket also has a fine stock of zander. For those interested in fishing for large coarse fish, Gummarksträsket should be particularly interesting with its abundant large bream. In the area there are one or more "put-and-take" waters with introduced salmonid fish. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 17.
