Foxen Stora Le FVOF Generally: A fishing license is required to fish within the waters of the Foxen and Struven-Stora Le fisheries conservation areas. The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred. Only hand tools are allowed. The fishing license does not give the right to crayfish fishing. People 16 years of age and younger are allowed to fish without a fishing license. A control fee of SEK 1,000 may be charged upon inspection if a valid fishing license cannot be presented. Areas with restricted fishing rights: Within the fishing license area, there are 2+1 areas where fishing is not permitted for fishing license sales. 1 - Northern part of Foxen 2 - Fish Farm V:a Fågelvik In these 2 areas, fishing is not permitted during the period May 1 - October 31 except for fishing right holders and buyers of Local Cards. 3 - The area around the Holmerud River. Fishing rights are required within Stuven-Stora Le FVOF. All trout caught there must be released back. Methods: Only hand tools are allowed. When trolling, a maximum of 4 rods per fishing license applies. For other fishing, a maximum of 2 rods per loose fishing license and no deep rigs or paravanes apply. Catch restrictions: Maximum length of pike 80 cm. Minimum size for pike-perch is 45 cm. Max 2 pike perch and 2 pikes per day and angler. Closed season for pike-perch with pike-perch fishing ban; May 1 - June 15. Minimum size for trout/salmon is 60 cm. Other rules: Crayfish fishing has been prohibited since January 1, 2020, according to the County Administrative Board's decision. Fishing license and local card: For fishing rights holders, fishing is free within the area. Fishing rights certificates (fishing cards) do not need to be issued for fishing rights holders; it is sufficient to be able to state your name and which property you have fishing rights through when checked. As a fishing rights holder, you can bring guests with you for free. Those who live within the fisheries management area but do not have fishing rights can buy a local card. Fishing supervision: This is done through some of the association's appointed supervisors. Fishing supervision may also be hired out. Fishing: Ownership of fishing rights is separate from ownership of water and shore. This means that you are not automatically a fishing right owner just because you own a piece of a lake or a piece of shore. To have fishing rights, this right must be registered in the property register. It is not enough that fishing is mentioned in the purchase contract. Changes to fishing rights can only be made through an act by Lantmäteriet. The fishing right follows the village boundaries. You can therefore have fishing rights without having beach rights or water rights and you can have fishing rights outside the shore of another property. If the fishing is undivided, you have the right to fish anywhere in the village's fishing waters, regardless of which property it is located outside. When a fisheries management area is established, a fishing rights investigation is carried out and a fishing rights list is prepared. These documents report which properties have fishing rights in the fisheries management area, whether the fishing rights are individual (divided) or joint (undivided) and what proportion each property has of the fisheries management area's fishing waters.
