Södra Mieåns FVOF Mieån (blue fishing license – natural water) Area: Mieån from Jannebergs mill north to Getabron in Norrefors. The area includes the lakes Byasjön, Bruksgylet, Långasjön, Brogylet, Skärsjön, Rudegyl and Björkesjön. Fish: Pike, perch, zander, brook trout and more. Fishing allowed: Year-round fishing, 24 hours a day. Ice fishing is allowed. Catch limit: 2 salmonids per day. 2 pike-perch per day but fish over 70cm must be released. During the month of May, catch and release applies for Pikeperch. Gear & bait: Spinning, reel, fly or fishing rod. Fishing with worms, shrimp, live bait or other bait is only permitted when angling and ice fishing. Ice fishing may only be done with a maximum of 1 ice rod and 10 fishing tackle per fisherman. Mieån södra (yellow fishing license) Area: The bridge at Stadsportsgatan to the Old Road Bridge at Janneberg. Fish: Sea trout, rainbow trout, pike, perch and more. Fishing allowed: From the first Saturday in February to September 30, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Catch limit: 2 salmonids per day. Gear & bait: Spinning, reel or fly rod. Fishing allowed only one rod at a time. Fishing with worms, shrimp, live bait or other bait is prohibited. Södra Mieåns FVOF - Fiskerättsinnehavare/Medlem Members who engage in fishing must hold a membership certificate (§ 8). SEK 100 shall be charged as a fee for a membership certificate. Membership certificates are valid for the owner of the property and the spouse, partner, children and grandchildren. Members who have a membership certificate may fish within the entire fishery management area except for the waters where rainbow trout are planted (does not apply to members with fishing rights in these waters). For members who fish in waters within the fishery conservation area, the same rules apply as for fishing licenses.
