Gagnef-Mockfjärds fvof General Fishing Rules Fishing is permitted in all waters in the parishes of Gagnef/Mockfjärd, subject to the issuance of a fishing license. NOTE! There may be fishing waters with special regulations. As an angler, you are obliged to find out which regulations apply. People registered in the parishes of Gagnef or Mockfjärd are allowed to purchase local cards. Local card holders' family members, such as children, sons-in-law or daughters-in-law, even if they live in another place, are also entitled to purchase local cards. Children under 16 fish for free. Owners or co-owners of holiday homes or agricultural properties located within the fisheries conservation area have the right to purchase local cards even if they reside in another location. NOTE! The Tourist Annual Pass is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Example: if the pass is purchased on March 3, it is valid until March 2 of the following year. In the following valuable fishing waters, only hand-held fishing is permitted: Tryssjön, Rosen, Garntjärn with rivers, Långsjön, Grästjärn, Bröttjärnaån, Surensån, Lilla Fjästtjärn and the rapids of the rivers. Fishing is not permitted in Lortån. In Tansån the following applies: Total protection from the river mouth to the bridge at Vimans. Above the Vimans bridge to the Tansen outlet, fishing is permitted from June 1st to July 31st. Trolling fishing is permitted with 2 rods per person. Other fishing, two rods. A maximum of 2 game fish may be caught per card and day. In the rivers the following minimum dimensions apply: Male 35 cm and Trout 40 cm. Exceptions: Djurforsen, Lögnersforsen, see special box at the top right of this page. Prohibition on drift fishing with a bottle or stand hook and net fishing in the following waters: Tansen, Bästen, Långsjön, Esttjärn, Lessen and Nässjön. In other waters, net fishing is permitted for holders of a local card. Angling is permitted in all waters. However, pike fishing is not permitted. Outstanding fishing gear must be equipped with a name tag . Grayling fishing prohibited from May 1st to June 1st. Trout fishing prohibited in flowing water from September 15 to November 1. Crayfish fishing : Only holders of local cards may purchase crayfish fishing cards. Granted according to annual meeting decision. Crayfish fishing only applies to local residents and these fishing cards are sold directly by the association. Supervision is ongoing. Violations of applicable rules will be punished. Special rules Fishing regulations Djurforsen, Lögnersforsen: Fishing permitted only with artificial baits. Of the fish caught, grayling between 30-35 cm may be kept. For trout, the dimensions are 40 and 45 cm. Other fish must be returned to the rapids. Violations of applicable rules will be punished.
