Varpans FVO (allmänna fiskekort) The Varpan fishery conservation area includes all waters within the red-marked area on the map. The red-marked watercourses within the area, i.e. Lill-Bjursen, Stor-Bjursen, Svarttjärnen, Rackeltjärnen, Sätterbotjärnen, Stensjön, Karlsbotjärnen, Skogsmyran, Kalven, Lilla Åltjärnen, Igeltjärnen, Uvbergstjärnen, are NOT included in the fishery conservation area. Djuptjärn, Rogsån, Stångtjärn and Åltjärn are leased and are NOT included in the waters you are allowed to fish in with Varpan's FVOF fishing license. Rowing boat in Varpan 2026 In collaboration between Varpans Fvof and Gullnäsgården, Stennäset, Falun, fishermen can rent a rowing boat for fishing in Varpan between 16/6 and 16/8 at a discounted price, currently 99 SEK per day. The rowing boat is located at Gullnäsgården, Gamla Grycksbovägen 62 in Falun, and can be booked via the website gullnasgarden.se/kanoter och roddbåt or by phone 072 152 59 97 The rowing boat is rented per day, weekdays between 10:00 and the next day 10:00 (Sunday 12:00) and Sunday between 12:00 and the next weekday 10:00. Enter discount code Fiske when booking the rowing boat to get the right price. Life jackets are included in the rental. Fishing licenses are purchased via iFiske.se and remember to specify the day and time when the card will start to be valid. To promote interest in fishing among young people , Varpans fvof, in collaboration with Jaktia, Falun , will distribute starter fishing packages to young people according to the regulations below. Varpans fvof is distributing a maximum of 30 starter fishing packages, worth SEK 1,250, between May 1 and November 1, 2026. Starter package includes a 6 foot spinning rod, spinning reel, fishing line*, tackle and line. * Optional move at a maximum cost of 70 SEK is included, other parts cannot be replaced. To pick up the starter package, the guardian together with the young person should contact Jaktia in Falun. To receive a starter package, the youth's guardian must obtain or have obtained a digital fishing license or annual fishing license from Varpan's FVOF earlier in the year. Fishing rights certificates can only be obtained by owners of fishing waters within the Varpans fvof area. Starter packages can be obtained by young people from the year they turn 6 until the year they turn 12. The starter pack can only be obtained once per youth. The starter package can only be obtained once per family per year. The guardian must present valid identification and digital annual pass/fishing license for fishing within Varpans fvof's waters. To receive a starter package, a form must be filled out and signed for at Jaktia. Fishing licenses must be brought with you when fishing and presented upon request. Fishing licenses are personal. Children and young people fish for free until the calendar year they turn 16. Fishing by the holder of a fishing right with a fishing right certificate Fishing rights certificates are purchased digitally via www.ifiske.se. Individual fishing rights must be demonstrated by holding a fishing rights certificate. The fishing rights certificate must be taken with you when fishing and shown upon request. The fishing rights certificate is issued for the property and is valid for the fishing rights holder and his or her family. Fishing rights certificates cost SEK 50 per year. One fishing rights certificate may be purchased per percentage of the property's share in the fisheries conservation area. A fishing right certificate can be transferred throughout the year under the following conditions. The fishing right holder purchases the fishing right certificate at www.ifiske.se and prints it out with a note that it has been transferred from the fishing right holder to a specific person. The fishing right holder and the person to whom he or she transfers the fishing right certificate must be stated with their name and address, telephone number and, if possible, email address. A copy of the transferred fishing right certificate must be sent to the chairman of the fisheries management area via email [email protected] or submitted to the board in another way. In Djuptjärn, Rogsån and Stångtjärn, which are leased, the conditions for fishing by the fishing rights holders according to the lease contract apply instead of the rules below! Fishing with mass-catching gear such as nets, gillnets and cages may only take place in your own water (private water or within your own parcel of land).
