Handsjön is a lake in Berg municipality in Jämtland and forms part of the Ljungan main catchment area.The lake has an average depth of 8 metres, has an area of 5 hectares and is situated 287 metres above sea level. The lake is drained by Ljungan. Handsjön has many islands, islets and bays where the pike mainly thrive; there is also an abundance of perch in the lake. In the old river channel the depth is approx. 10-15 metres. Large parts of Handsjön resemble the Stockholm archipelago, according to Johan Broman. In addition to the above-mentioned fish species, Handsjön also contains trout and ide. The surrounding nature is forest landscape.The area also includes smaller lakes, tarns and running waters. Losjön, Trollsjön, larger parts of Örasjön and Trollsjötjärn, parts of Långvattnet, Övre and Nedre Galvattnet, as well as a number of tarns, rivers and streams.Långtjärn is the area's stocking water (put & take) for trout, char and rainbow trout. Within the area there is one or more "put-and-take" water with stocked salmonids. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 16. Only in the company of a guardian/adult/person who has a valid fishing permit (on that person's quota). Children under 16 fish on their guardian's fishing permit and quota.
