Hissmofors FVOF Fishing rules - from 2025-07-01 Fishermen must be provided with a valid fishing license which can be shown to a fishing inspector or fishing rights holder upon request. Sport fishing is permitted from land or boat within designated waters with a maximum of 1 rod per fishing license and a maximum of 3 baits per rod. Fishing with attached rods, so-called lazy fishing, and bottom fishing with bait is NOT permitted. Fishing with real-time and forward-looking so-called "live sensors", regardless of model, is NOT permitted. Fishing near the dams and bridges is NOT permitted. See signage. For Trout: a maximum of 2 fish per day within the sizes 35-50 cm may be kept. All trout under or over those dimensions MUST be immediately released. Ban on fishing for Pike in Borggrensviken during the spawning season in May. For Perch: all perches over 40 cm must be immediately released. Inspection fee for violation SEK 2,500. Detailed provisions according to the list below for each area. Violations of established rules give each FVO the right to charge a control fee of a maximum of 10% of the base amount. Lower Hårkans FVO The area extends from the border with Sandviksjöns/Edsforsens FVO down to the Högfors power plant. Prohibited periods for grayling 1/10 – 31/5. Fishing for trout prohibited from 1/9 until ice formation. Pimping through ice is permitted during the ban period. Fishing allowed between 1/6 - 30/9. Only fishing for grayling between 1/9 - 30/9, Max 3 flies on the rod when fly fishing. Max 5 fish per day (grayfish and trout). Minimum dimensions 35 centimeters Litsbygden's FVO The area includes the Hårkan from Högfors down to Indalsälven. The Indalsälven from Granbo/Långan down to Midskog Power Plant as well as the Örån, Sännån, Fjälån, and Hällsgårdsån and Sännsjön (Part of which also belongs to Lillsjöhögens FVO). Fishing for trout in Hårkan and all fishing in the other rivers is prohibited between 1/9 and 31/10. All wild trout caught in Hårkan must be released (the adipose fin cut off on trout that can be kept) A maximum of 3 fish (35 - 45 cm, a total of grayling and trout) may be kept / day. It is not permitted to fish with baited hooks in the permitted tributaries of the Indalsälven including the Hårkan. (applies to flowing water, = water speed > 0.5 m/sec. Until June 30th, Lits FVO will pay 350 SEK for wild trout (35 - 45 cm) caught in the Indalsälven River. Environmental toxicity test. Call 070-358 43 16 if you want to return an uncaught trout. Freeze in a PE plastic bag NOTE; Total fishing ban in Myckeltjärnen from May 22 to June 30 Granboforsen's FVO The area encompasses the Indalsälven River from the Kattstrupeforsen power plant down to the mouth of the Midskog reservoir at the mouth of the Långan River. Fishing with hand gear from land or from a boat rented from the fisheries management area. Fishing from your own boat is not permitted (applies to short-line fishermen). Fishing for trout is prohibited from 1/9 to 31/10. Fishing for grayling is prohibited from 15/4 to 31/5. Minimum size for grayling and trout is 35 cm. Fishing with a sinker is prohibited. Floating allowed. All fishing from boats is prohibited between the railway bridge and Granbo power plant. Maximum 5 fish per day (grayfish and trout) Lower Långan FVO The area includes Långan from the border with Landösjöns FVO down to Långan's mouth in Indalsälven, the Näversjöarna lakes and Lundsjön. Fishing ban 1/9 – 31/10 and 15/4 – 31/5. At dams/fishing routes, fishing is prohibited 50 meters upstream and downstream of these. All fishing with baited hooks is prohibited. All trout must be released. Only fish between 35 - 50 cm may be kept. (Applies to grayling) All fish that are under or exceed that measurement must be released regardless of the condition of the fish! Fishing with hand gear and a maximum of 2 hooks. Fishing licenses are valid for sport fishing with a rod, carried by hand. Fishing is permitted with a fishing license valid for 24 hours, a week or a year. A maximum of 2 fish/fishing license/day may be kept. Not allowed to bring a boat in the Näversjöarna lakes If the water temperature exceeds +18 C, fishing is temporarily suspended. Hissmofors FVO The area covers the Indalsälven River from the bridge in Dvärsätt down to the Kattstrupeforsen power plant. Rules • For Trout: get a maximum of 2 fish per day within the size 35-50 cm should be retained. All trout under or above those dimensions SHOULD be immediately re-exposed. Prohibition on fishing for trout during spawning 1/9-31/10 • For Grayling: get a maximum of 2 fish per day within the size 35-50 cm should be retained. All grayling under or above those dimensions SHOULD be immediately re-exposed Ban on fishing for grayling during spawning 15/4-31/5. • Total fishing ban also applies from 1/9-31/10 between Cross the bridge (road Z1024) and the E14 bridge. • For Pike: ALL Pike over 80 cm MUST immediately re-post as. Ban on fishing for pike in Borggrensviken during the game in May. • For Perch: all perches over 40 cm must be immediately re-exposed.
