Within the fisheries conservation area are the following waters:Messlingssjön, Mittån, Servån, Stadsån, Brändåstjärn, Linjestjärn, Starrtjärn,Djuptjärn, Kåkslottstjärn.In our waters there are trout and Arctic char (to 99%). There may be individual grayling and perch. Burbot is in the lake. ... Welcome to Messlingens fisheries conservation area!In our waters there are trout, Arctic char, brook trout, perch, burbot, brook char (stocked), minnow and bullhead.Messlingssjön is 5 km long and in the middle of the lake it is 10-40 m deep. The lake has large trout which can be difficult to catch; there are plenty of smaller trout. Perch are numerous and weights up to 1 kg are not unusual. Arctic char occurs throughout the lake, there is a large occurrence of smaller Arctic char, but in recent years the average weight has increased and fish between 200-500 g are often caught by ice fishing in winter.Mittån upstream and downstream is good trout water and it takes flies, lures/spinners and angling with worm.In Mittån above the lake and below the railway bridge there are plenty of fish. Watch out for beaver tunnels along the river.In Brändåstjärn, 350 smaller Arctic char were stocked in 2019 from the lake and have subsequently increased well in weight. The association will also continue to move fish from the lake to the tarns in Servdalen and Brändåstjärn.Messlingssjön is not regulated, but downstream towards Grundsjön there is a fish barrier which prevents whitefish (and unfortunately all fish) from making their way up Mittån.
