The fishing license also applies to Gäddvattnet, Krokvågssjön, Ytterstvattnet and Gerilån between Ytterstvattnet and Krokvågssjrön. Fishing in the Ammerån covers the stretch between Röningsviken (Selet) and the Ammerån mouth valley in Insälven and is divided into different stretches for general fishing, fly fishing and a special stretch where fly fishing and catch and release apply. These different stretches are shown on the map in the app. Fishing is prohibited from March 1st to May 31st and all tributaries to the Ammerån are completely protected. Trout are protected in the Ammerån from September 1st to November 1st. Ammerån general fishing: General fishing includes spinning, fly fishing and top-tied line angling. Max 3 fish per fishing license per day. For grayling and trout, the window size is 35-38 cm. The stretches that are open to public fishing are marked in green on the map. Ammerån fly fishing: The stretch from Krokforsen (after Krokforsen) to the outlet of the Färsån River, except for the special stretch, is only open for fly fishing with a fly rod and flies without barbs. Max 1 fish per fishing license per day. For grayling and trout, the window size is 35-38 cm. The route is marked in blue on the map. Ammerån special section: This is a very nice fly fishing stretch between Moan, the upper bridgehead down to Högremmen, the large wind shelter. Catch and release applies here, fishing must be conducted with a fly rod and flies without barbs. The stretch opens for fishing on Midsummer Eve and is limited to a maximum of 9 fishing licenses per day. The fishing license, which is valid from 12:00 to 06:00 the following day, costs 350 SEK and can only be purchased at Färsåns Fritid och Fiskecamp . The special section is marked in red on the map. Guerrilla loan: Grayling and trout. Gerilån is open for fishing with spin, fly and angling with a top knot line. Fishing ban applies from 1/3 to 31/5. Trout are protected in Gerilån from 1/9 to 1/11. Grayling and trout under 25 cm must be released. Lake Ytterstvattnet, Krovågssjön and Pike's Pond: Perch, pike and whitefish. Fishing with spin, fly, angling and ice fishing is permitted. We naturally hope that in the future we will also be able to offer permits for Nedre Ammeråns FVOF. Would you like ... The following waters are included in the fishing conservation area: Ammerån, Gerilån, Högsbergstjärn, Telemarkstjärn, Vattenbergstjärn, Mellantjärn, Stugutjärn, Ytterstvattnet, Krokvågssjön, Gäddvattnet. Ammerån: Ammerån is best known for very good grayling fishing, but also has a good stock of trout. Some stretches of the river, and especially the larger slow pools, have good stocks of both large perch and pike. Fishing in Ammerån covers the stretch between Röningsviken (Selet) and the mouth of Ammerån in Indalsälven and is divided into different stretches for general fishing, fly fishing and a special stretch where fly fishing and catch-and-release apply. These different stretches are shown on the map in the app. Closed season: Applies in Ammerån during the period from 1/3 up to and including 31/5, and all tributaries to Ammerån are fully protected. Trout is protected in Gerilån from 1/9 up to and including 1/11. Ytterstvattnet, Krovågssjön and Gäddvattnet:Perch, pike and whitefish. Fishing with spinning, fly, angling and ice fishing is permitted. Boats and float tubes may be used. The tarns:Fish are continuously stocked in the tarns, both catchable fish before the winter season and smaller fish to grow into semi-wild fish; some natural reproduction also occurs in these waters. The tarns close for fishing on 1 October. Telemarkstjärn and Mellantjärn open for ice fishing on the first Saturday in March. Vattenbergstjärn, Höksbergstjärn and Stugutjärn open for ice fishing on 1 January. Högsbergstjärn:Trout and Arctic char. Fishing with spinning, fly, angling and, in winter, ice fishing is permitted. Maximum 3 fish/permit. Minimum size 35cm. Use of a boat or float tube is prohibited. Vattenbergstjärn:Trout and Arctic char. Fly fishing with a fly rod only. In winter, ice fishing is permitted. Maximum 3 fish/permit. Minimum size 35cm. Use of a boat or float tube is prohibited. Telemarkstjärn: Trout and Arctic char. Fly fishing, angling with a top-tied line and, in winter, ice fishing is permitted. Maximum 3 fish/permit. Minimum size 35cm. Use of a boat or float tube is prohibited. Mellantjärn: Trout and Arctic char. Open for fishing in winter only. Ice fishing maximum 3 fish/permit. Minimum size 35cm. Stugutjärn:Trout and Arctic char. Fishing with spinning, fly, angling and, in winter, ice fishing is permitted. Maximum 3 fish/permit. Minimum size 35cm. Use of a boat or float tube is prohibited. Within the area there is one or more “put-and-take” water with stocked game fish. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. See rules.
