Storsjö FVOF Basic rules for all waters: The fisherman is obliged to read and take note of the regulations. The fishing license must be presented upon request. Only one card and one fishing rod per person per day. Children under 16 fish for free when accompanied by an adult. Sport fishing from your own boat/float only allowed in Storsjön. Nets and Otter fishing not allowed. Minimum dimensions: For trout, char and grayling 35 cm! Exceptions for brook trout in the smaller streams such as Lillån, Storån upstream of Ålderövallen, Bottenbäcken. Catch Limits: In lakes/ponds, 3 fish/day per person. Applies to trout, char and grayling in all waters except Storsjön . In flowing water window outlet, 35 cm – 45 cm and 3 fish/day/person, trout and grayling under 35 cm and over 45 cm must be put back. Fly fishing only: Sölvbacka dam - Björnhån, Östhenån, Skärkån - also the stream between Upper and lower Dalsjön, window outlet 35 - 45 cm and 3 fish/day and person. Window removal means that all trout and grayling under 35 cm and over 45 cm must be put back Fishing ban: Sölvbacka dam - 190 m downstream and 50 m upstream. Mask fishing ban from Sölvbacka dam downstream to Björnhån. Recreational fishing ban: 15/5 – 15/6, Harrlek in Storån and Skärkån 200 m downstream of the outlet in Oshån and between lower and upper Dalsjön. 15/9 – 31/10, char spawning in Svantjärn, Björhåbergstjärn, S:a Grävingstjärn, Västra and Mellersta Rotsjöarna, Rörtjärn, Holmtjärn. 1/9 – 15/11 – trout spawning in flowing water and 200 m from inlet and outlet. Only fly fishing for grayling is allowed in flowing water during the spawning ban period. Mashing prohibited! Fishing ban in flowing water, when the water temperature exceeds +19 degrees Celsius. The fishing opportunities are numerous and varied in one of Jämtland’s largest fisheries conservation areas. In the Upper Ljungan valley, with the Helags mountains furthest west, there are thousands of hectares of forest surrounded by m&auml ... The fishing opportunities are numerous and varied in one of Jämtland’s largest fisheries conservation areas. In the Upper Ljungan valley, with the Helags mountains furthest west, there are thousands of hectares of forest surrounded by mighty mountains. The area contains nearly 50 lakes and tarns and c:a 1,5 mil of running water; see the map of all waters included in the area. Classic waters in Storsjö include the Sölvbacka rapids with grayling and trout. Skärkån is the principal reproduction site for Storsjö trout. Within the area, there is one or more accessibility-adapted water. For more information, see the fishing area map where these points are marked, or contact Storsjö FVOF (Berg municipality). Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15.
