The association leases fishing in the central part of the lake; see the map for further information about the boundaries of the fishing water.The lake varies between shallow reed-filled bays, shores with rocky bottoms and deeper channels, making the fishing varied and the number of species high.Trout thrive in the lake; under the regulation legislation, trout are stocked annually, as well as, of course, wild trout that spawn in inflowing rivers and streams. The lake's Canadian char population has made it popular with trolling anglers. Pike, perch, grayling and whitefish are also common species. Arctic char and burbot have declined in recent years. Both electronic and printed lake maps are available for sale. Free fishing for children and young people up to and including the age of 15. Upplands FVO consists of the central part of Lake Liten. The association leases fishing to the general public through fishing permit sales.
